The meditation exercise that was assigned for Week 2 helped me to relax. It involved autogenic training which helps the mind to control the body. This training is very important if you suffer from stress related neck pain. The challenge is trying to make time to just relax and practice this meditation/autogenic training. My goal is to set aside some time each day and try to practice this.
I agree Rosie, time is definitely a rare commodity in my life as well. Just like exercising, I need to put it into my daily schedule or I will never do it. It seems kind of crazy to have to schedule a time to relax, but sometimes life gets in the way. This exercise was a great lesson in learning how to slow down!
